This newly-created role will have a substantial impact on how we operate in the future.
A part of our Commercial Finance team, you will work across our different business units to identify, analyse, and accurately forecast our workforce requirements; optimising performance and advising on required contingency plans to meet the business's labour needs across the year.
To be successful in this new role, you will be naturally curious with an analytical mindset and have the ability to effectively collaborate to understand your stakeholders' processes and future needs, advising on best practice.
Key Responsibilities Create accurate forecasts of staffing needs across OfficeMax's operational functions in order to meet customer demand and exceed service standardsOversee the monitoring and analysis of workforce data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement and areas of optimisationMake data-driven recommendations to enhance efficiency and productivityCollaborate with department people leaders to align workforce planning with operational goalsIdentify issues and gaps and highlight impact and solutions to resolveMaintain sound knowledge of industry workforce planning developments, including best practice and new process/system developmentsRecommend strategies to the Commercial Manager and/or Business Unit Leaders for addressing any workforce planning performance shortfalls during the yearWhat you will bring: Bachelors' degree in Business, Operations Management, Mathematics or a related field3-5 years professional experience in Workforce Planning within complex businessesPrevious workforce planning experience is essentialExperience in forecast planning tools is preferredStrong analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong knowledge of labour laws and regulationsOfficeMax has RE-SHAPED the business to enhance our customer's experience Being able to adapt and evolve has been key to our success.
