Role Overview: To support the Senior Account Manager in delivering best practice implementation and trading practices.To build trusted and influential relationships with clients, media and agency partners. People Ensures they live and breathe the Wavemaker values everyday Helps Senior Account Manager with prioritisation of their daily workload Develops negotiation, time management, presentation and client service skills Embodies the team vision as set by the Business Director Conducts themselves in line with Wavemaker Professional Etiquette Guidelines Possesses a pro-active mentality/approach to their work Contributes to a positive, motivating and inspiring team culture Product: Has a thorough knowledge and understanding of all Wavemaker and GroupM products/processes Ensures there is full compliance with Wavemaker processes (trading/implementation excellence, feedback, briefing templates etc) Ensures all communication to internal and external stakeholders is clear and delivered in a timely manner Seeks to further knowledge in all media channels Builds personal ownership of the buying process using GroupM Knowledge tools to deliver the best buying outcome for clients Develops skill of interpreting relevant data sources to build insights that leads implementation thinking in order to help Account Manager (i.e. GroupM Knowledge, Roy Morgan, Nielsen) Tracks and optimises campaigns regularly and communicates issues to the Manager in a timely manner Follows the GroupM compliance/audit process and thus delivers 100% adherence across their clients Identifies opportunities for added value in campaigns Works collaboratively with all divisions within Wavemaker to ensure holistic approach to implementations Checks all outputs with Manager at all times to ensure quality assurance Partners: Starts to build trusted advisor relationship with media owners, clients and agency partners (at relevant level) Develops understanding of the clients category Helps to deliver strategy to increase/maintain client TRR/appraisal scores Starts to develop opinions on the media landscape and market Assists with delivering best practice media relationships Starts to develop thorough understanding of media owner product suites Starts to develop an understanding of media trends (including GroupM Knowledge and SMI data) Starts to develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders – Wavemaker and GroupM at both a local and global level Responds to clients, media owners and partner agencies in a timely manner consistently managing expectations Profit: Ensures all financial processes are followed with 100% accuracy (bookings and loadings) Checks pro-formas thoroughly with aim of zero account queries Ensures timesheets are completed in a timely manner Knowledge & Skills 1+ years' media agency experience Strong knowledge of the NZ media market, and a healthy interest in major Global markets Knowledge of the media ecosystem and how it operates Why work for Wavemaker?
