They are renown brand, found in over 100 countries and they are currently enjoying considerable growth in New Zealand.The Opportunity:They want to strengthen their Penrose based Warehousing team, by appointing a Warehouse Team Lead to support the day-to-day warehouse function.Currently it is a small team, with just the Team Lead role and one storeman. However, due to the forecasted growth, they will be building on this team, and you will end up leading 2 or 3 others.As it is now, the role is very hands on, with approximately 2/3 of your day fulfilling day-to-day warehouse duties (picking and packing, unloading containers, putting stock away, etc).For this you need to be proactive, fit and organized.As the team grows the balance of the role will change and more Team Leadership duties will be required.So, it really is an awesome career opportunity for someone who has cut their teeth in a Team Leadership role and wants to take on more responsibility and build on this.You will be able to join the company and learn the ropes now, and then grow with the role, developing in your career as the team expands and gets busier.Some of your responsibilities will include:Performing a leadership role across the day-to-day warehouse and transport operation.First point of contact for all warehouse queriesManage daily back orders.Fulfilling administration duties and end of day reportingHands on involvement in all warehousing functionsEnsures the team is trained effectively and manages their workload.Maintains inwards goods functions,unloading and putting away goodsIdentifiesany stock discrepancies and resolves these.Accurately picks and dispatches customer orders. Investigates any returns.Manages inventory, completes stocktakes.Driving a forkhoist.Identifies opportunities for continuous operational improvement.Ensure that the warehouse is kept organized, clean and tidy.Completes all activities in a safe and timely manner.About You:5+ years hands-on experience in a Warehousing/ Distribution functionTeam Leadership/ Supervisory experience is preferred.Ability to motivate a team.Responsible attitude, taking ownership of the warehouse function.Effectively manages priorities, displaying use of initiative.Confident computer skills &WHM systemsConfident using a forklift. Has current forklift license.100% reliable. Strong work ethic.Values accuracy and has strong attention to detail.Enjoys working with a small team where they can add value.Keen on developing in their career.Hours:Monday to Friday –Start time can be flexible between 7am - 8:30am, finishing up at the end of the day between 3:30 - 5pm.Rewards:Career developmentOn job training and upskilling$60K - $70Kdepending on level of experience.Onsite parking.
