We're looking for a Warehouse Operations Controller to join the team, based at our Warehouse in Lower Hutt. About the role The Warehouse Operations Controller is responsible for ensuring that all goods entering, leaving, or being stored on site are handled with care and are verified and recorded promptly. You'll play a key role in investigating and resolving any issues that arise within the warehouse and will be the person responsible for ensuring that stock is stored efficiently in the correct locations, maintaining a tidy and hazard-free warehouse at all times. This is a varied role and day-to-day, you will: Work closely with the Warehouse Manager on continuous improvement in relation to warehouse operations Ensure inbound goods are offloaded, verified, and recorded in our inventory system (Cin7) Report and investigate any discrepancies Ensure all stock held in the warehouse is recorded, verified via regular cycle counts, and is stored and labelled tidily in the correct stock location Conduct full physical stock counts as required throughout the year Ensure all outbound goods are picked accurately, checked against paperwork, packaged correctly, and loaded on time to meet agreed deadlines Assist with stock conversion/repacks, webstore activities, and general warehousing duties You'll also be responsible for ensuring the warehouse aisles are kept clear, and that the warehouse as a whole is free of hazards. We'll also look to you to provide back-up for our Driver, which will require you to drive manual transmission vehicles (Class 1 licence required) as well as a truck (Class 2 licence required, but we can support with attaining this). About you You'll be a natural communicator with an ability to build strong working relationships, as well as bringing physical ability, and exceptional problem-solving skills. You'll have experience in warehousing and logistics and will already hold a forklift licence (F endorsement). You'll also ideally bring: A proactive, responsive and enthusiastic approach, with strong initiative An ability to work towards and meet deadlines, producing high quality outputs A keen eye for detail, with top-notch problem-solving and planning skills Self-motivation, keenness to learn, and an ability to work collaboratively in a team A good level of physical fitness and ability to move stock around the warehouse space A responsible outlook, taking care when handling valuable merch and products Hold a full Class 1 licence, and be able to drive a manual vehicle (holding a full Class 2 licence would be an advantage at time of application) Hold an F endorsement or certificate to operate a forklift You'll also bring creativity, open-mindedness and a willingness to truly contribute to the GP story.
