This is a great opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join our team based in East Tamaki, Auckland. Reporting to the Distributions Centre Manager, you will be accountable for leading a great team to manage all warehouse operational activities while meeting customer expectations at a high and consistent level. As this is a 24 hour operation, there are 3 shifts to cover between Monday - Friday 6am - 11pm, so flexibility is a must. You must also be able to work on the weekend, if or when required. Your Key Responsibilities will be: Plan, co-ordinate and direct warehouse activities. Ensure accuracy in order picking, assembly, quality, and product traceability. Forecast workload and ensure sufficient trained resources are available on each Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements. Manage contractor compliance, warehouse operational equipment compliance and relationships with key service providers. Manage warehouse Human Resource requirements: recruitment, induction, training, coaching, and performance appraisal Ensure the highest level of housekeeping in in the Warehouse Focus on continuous improvement Grow and develop our team of warehouse team member This role would suit someone with the following competencies & skills: A strong team player and leader - hands on approach Excellent attention to detail and ability to problem-solve Knowledge to Health & Safety practices Sound communication, written and verbal skills Experience with Microsoft dynamics X To be successful in this role, you must have: NZQF Level 7 or higher Diploma/Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Engineering Alternatively, if no relevant qualification, a minimum of 5 years of relevant Warehouse experience, demonstrating applied knowledge of warehouse practices Applied Staff and performance management experience Valid forklift licence, Stock Picker Licence (minimum) What we can offer you !
