Our projects range from exploring cultural narratives to addressing pressing social issues. We are seeking a talented Video Production Specialist to join our team and contribute to the creation of impactful documentaries on an international scale. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Oversee and manage the end-to-end production process of a documentary, ensuring all aspects are executed seamlessly from pre-production to post-production. Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, keeping all stakeholders informed and on track. Location Management: Coordinate logistics for shoots in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Work closely with local teams to secure permits, locations, and accommodations. Supplier and Freelancer Management: Utilize an existing network of suppliers and freelancers in the United Kingdom to assemble a skilled production team. Negotiate contracts and ensure all parties adhere to project timelines and budget constraints. Equipment Coordination: Collaborate with equipment rental companies to secure necessary gear for shoots. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and functioning throughout the production. Budget Oversight: Work closely with the production manager to create and manage budgets for each project. Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure financial goals are met. Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including directors, cinematographers, editors, and post-production staff. Provide creative input and solutions to enhance the overall quality of the documentary. Requirements: Experience: Proven experience in video production, with a focus on documentary filmmaking. Demonstrated success in managing international productions, particularly in the United Kingdom. Network: An extensive network of suppliers, freelancers, and industry contacts in the United Kingdom. Technical Skills: Proficiency in video production tools and software. Strong understanding of camera equipment, lighting, and sound equipment. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to navigate diverse cultural and professional environments. Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently between New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
