What you will do
The Vetting Coordinator is responsible for providing a proactive and timely service to both customers and stakeholders of the vetting process. You will provide effective and efficient analysis and processing of vetting applications in collaboration with the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS).
A typical day could include:
Responding to customer and stakeholder queries in regards to clearance applications;
Managing and processing vetting requests with NZSIS;
Ensuring the relevant exchange of vetting information / data with customers and stakeholders occurs on schedule and without errors; and
Maintaining personnel security clearance records and information.

What we need
We are looking for highly engaging people person capable of maintaining utmost confidentiality as this role has exposure to very personal information. You will be part of a collaborative team environment and will have excellent time management skills with the ability to adapt your priorities effectively to cover the variety of aspects within this role.
You will also have:
Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus;
Proven ability to work as essential part of a high performing team;
A methodical approach to work with an eye for detail; and
Sound judgement and integrity to support the identification, understanding, and management of personnel security issues.

Ideally, you will have previous experience worked in a customer facing / service delivery coordination role within NZ Government.

is a citizen of,and/or has resided continuouslyin one or more of the following countries for the last10 years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, UK or the USA;andhas a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZSIS towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at a higher level.

If you do not meet these minimum criteria, we will not be able to accept your application.
