Cahill Animal Hospital has been caring for pets in Palmerston North since 1981. The clinic is open 7 days a week, and is staffed by a high-motivated, dedicated and experienced veterinary team.

Located within the city centre, the clinic has a full surgical suite, computerised radiography and IM3 dentistry equipment. They also have access to high quality internal and external laboratory facilities, as well as specialist ultrasound services.

Cahill Animal Hospital are seeking the skills of a qualified veterinary nurse to join their practice, with a current team of 10 and we would welcome applications from a graduate vet nurse holding a minimum Level 6 Diplolma, through to a more senior vet nurse.

Duties are varied and you will be working with an array of companion animals, along with being involved in the assistance of customer services and some consultations.

Duties of Responsibilities: Surgical nursing, covering equipment and patient careMedical and general nursing, including taking samples and accurate recordingReception and client care adviseOperational functions upheld regarding hygiene, security and safety and equipment maintenanceAdministration duties including stock control and end of day proceduresManagerial and Supervisory Performance depending on experienceWhat we are seeking in you: Collaborative team memberEager to assume responsibilitiesReady to participate in customer service and reception tasksSkilled consultant and effective communicatorUtilize opportunities to upsell products and servicesThe hours of work will be Wednesday to Friday, 8am to 6pm and Saturday, working 9am to 4pm. You will be paid for your lunch break and supplied with a full uniform.

Added benefits are staff discount on products and car parking is free. You will also have the flexibility to take on extra hours if you choose, helping to fill in for any staff downtime.
