The Opportunity
AsureQuality (AQ) is a leading assurance company providing services that span the entire food supply chain with a combination of audit, inspection, farm assurance, bio-security, advisory and food testing capabilities.
Our Vet services team currently are on the lookout for Veterinarians on a casual basis who hold NZ Vet Council recognised qualifications.
As a Veterinarian the role is inclusive of Inspection, testing and provision of certification to MPI standards for live animals and live germplasm that are being exported and support and technical advice for the delivery of on farm services and quality assurance programmes.
About You
To be successful in this role you will ideally have good stock sense and confidence in dealing with large animals.
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships. You have a passion for the industry and an interest in the regulatory framework associated with live animals and germplasm as well as passion to upskill and undergo training in quality assurance services.
You are able to work independently and pride yourself on managing your time efficiently and effectively to meet targets and deadlines as well as being a team player within the wider team
Strong computer skills are required, particularly with the Microsoft suite, alongside the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Due to the nature of our operations there is a requirement for flexibility around the hours worked. The successful applicants will join a nationwide team of AsureQuality veterinarians and will work with a highly trained group of field technicians. This position could provide the opportunity for short term work in Australia in addition to New Zealand work so ability to travel is preferred.
