Sealord is a global seafood enterprise with a world-wide fishing, processing and marketing network. Sealord retains its home base in New Zealand and has led the seafood industry in the careful and sustainable management of fish and seafood resources.
About the role
We are looking for people to join our vessel discharge crew in Nelson for the busy Hoki season. The season runs until the end of September so being able to commit until then is essential. An immediate start is available.
The team play a critical role in unloading the fish off the boats and trucks and ensuring it's ready for the factory teams to process each day. Other key activities will include case washing and stacking, and cleaning of pallets and tanks.
The fish can arrive at different times each night, so you must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends as required. The shifts are 8 hours typically worked between 9pm and 9am, with the potential for overtime.
Who we're looking for:
This is physical work, so you must be keen and able to get stuck in

The ability to communicate well and work well as part of a team

The ability to work flexible, extra working hours, including weekends and callouts

You will be reliable, punctual and be able to commit to the full season

In the interests of health and safety all applicants are required to undertake a pre-employment health assessment and drug test.
