The Wellington Hospitality Group is Wellington's largest hospitality company and on the hunt for a well conditioned, experienced Hospitality Superstar to coach Venue Managers at 6 of our Venues! You will be working with Venue Managers through coaching and situation based mentoring to empower them to achieve our goals. The Venue Coach is responsible for ensuring that our venues are best in class for our customers and are maximizing opportunities. That is being efficient, profitable, and delivering on targets for revenue, gross profit and our people. The Venue Coach also coordinates assistance from the Group Support and high-performance teams as necessary and escalates issues to the Group manager as appropriate.

The right applicant for this role would have experience operating successful bars and restaurants in the past, have a great financial knowledge, is all about succession planning and has a high focus on the development and mentoring of people.

You will be expected to:

Review of operations, tracking cost and revenue communicating analysis and working through issues and solutions with Venue Managers including; Compliance of rosters to budget, purchase levels and targets adjusted to target and stocktakes
Responsible for performance to revenue and Gross profit targets for your cluster
Review and analyse reports from venues and provide commentary to Group Manager, providing feedback to Venue Managers
Ensure sales and marketing plans are completed and executed, monitored and reported on
Actively seek out and regular community and local business events
Drive menu compliance, costing and portion control for your cluster
Liaise with Executive Chef and Venues on menu changes
Responsible for ensuring cluster compliance with WHG procurement arrangements
Coach and mentor management teams in venues
Endorse key hires in venues e.g. Chef of DM appointments
Complete street to seat process regularly for each venue and monitor progress on improvement plans
Drive NPS initiatives
Ensure venue teams are focused on delivering excellent customer service
