Vendor Assurance Technician

We are seeking to appoint an energized, passionate and experienced Vendor Assurance Technician into our business. This is a newly created position who will work closely with a newly appointed VA Manager and support the team proactively assisting to proactively manage our relationships with suppliers.
Working closely with our R&D, procurement and production teams, the VA technician ensure specifications for raw materials are being met, report and support with resolution for non conformances in a timely manner.
If you can demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Food Safety and Quality processes, a strong knowledge of procurement best practice as well as the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships, we want to hear from you!
Key responsibilities: Assist with the implementation of a new vendor approval and review process. Assist to implement, review and maintain the annual raw material testing program for ZIWI. Provide regular data and reporting for Supplier performance reviews. Support new innovation where new ingredients and or supplier will be introduced. Managing stock inventory for ingredients Key requirements: Food Safety and HACCP Previous experience in a procurement role essential Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels Strong attention to detail is a must Technical understanding and practical commercial experience A collaborative hands-on approach and can positively influence change across all levels Experience in Continuous Improvement would be advantageous This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic, rapidly growing business with a global footprint.
