Power Generation & Distribution (Mining, Resources & Energy)Full timeCompetitive salary plus life and medical insuranceNew Plymouth, Palmerston North, Wellington or TaurangaAbout the roleThis is an increasingly exciting time for us as parties seek to capitalise on emerging green energy opportunities.The Utility Scale Generation Manager role exists to provide quality relationship and project management to prospective generators as they initiate generation applications, engineering studies are undertaken and reviewed, and that we comply with industry requirements in the subsequent project progression and connection arrangements.The role will also review how our assessment procedures could be improved to facilitate generators being approved to connect to our networks more quickly and with confidence.If you enjoy working across multiple projects, stakeholders and are eager to enable Powerco's vision to be a part of Aotearoa's decarbonising future this could be the role for you.The difference you'll makeWe are looking for someone who is skilled at building relationships, has project management expertise, is customer focused and can co-ordinate across multiple stakeholders with confidence.You will be the relationship and commercial lead for large scale generation applications, providing clarity to the customer on process staging, requirements and initiation. You'll establish and maintain the initial project stakeholder team, ensuring suitable liaison, consultation, and responsibilities are understood and adhered to.Establishing and maintaining trusted positive relationships with prospective connecting parties will be important as will maintaining key internal and other stakeholder interaction.You will be a valued member of the Energy Solutions team which oversees generator, major commercial and industrial customers.
