Urologist Consultant - Whangarei New ZealandWe are seeking a consultant urologist to join the department of surgery in a regional general secondary care hospital. The hospital has 260 beds, 24/7 emergency department and all standard medical and surgical services. This position does require some travel across the region to satellite clinics and the ability to participate in junior doctor and medical student teaching. The scope of practice is general urology.Key Role Responsibilities and DutiesYou will take professional care of patients admitted under your care and undertake appropriate clinical responsibilities.You will conduct out patient clinics, ward rounds and operating theatre surgical lists and provide professional opinion at the request of other specialists.You will participate in the on-call roster with colleagues to provide 24-hour specialist urology cover for the evaluation and management of acute patientsYou will provide clinical supervision and teaching for registrars, house surgeons and medical students.
