Truck Driver and Asbestos Removalist. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for transporting equipment and materials to job sites while also performing asbestos removal tasks in compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and specialized equipment, to transport personnel, tools, and materials to and from job sites. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety regulations. Secure and properly load/unload equipment and materials onto vehicles, adhering to safety guidelines and best practices. Drive defensively and courteously while navigating through traffic and adverse weather conditions to reach designated destinations safely and on time. Assist with the setup and breakdown of asbestos removal work areas, including the installation of containment barriers and safety signage. Execute asbestos removal activities according to established procedures, including the safe handling, packaging, and disposal of asbestos-containing materials. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to strict safety protocols to minimize exposure to hazardous materials. Work collaboratively with team members to efficiently complete assigned tasks and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Report any safety hazards, incidents, or vehicle maintenance issues to supervisors promptly for resolution. Continuously update knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices related to asbestos removal and transportation. Requirements: • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. • Previous experience operating trucks and heavy equipment preferred. • B-Class asbestos removalist training and certification highly desirable. • Experience working with asbestos or hazard material highly desirable • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to established safety protocols. • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in a variety of weather conditions. • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.
