Truck Dispatcher

Stuart Drummond Transport is a family owned and operated company operating out of the Nelson Marlborough and West Coast regions for over 30 years, we have had a large expansion in our business over the past 5 years and have over 40 logging truck and trailers.

We seek the services of a Dispatcher who is enthusiastic, professional, proactive and passionate about the Trucking Industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual who is seeking a career advancement.

The person we seek will have excellent leadership, communication and planning skills. You will also need to be able to maintain clear thinking in an ever-changing daily environment.

The key requirements for this role are:

Good time management and problem-solving skills.
Experience in Transport Operations
Good geographical knowledge of the Top of the South Island
A good standard of Health & Fitness
A dedication to high Health and Safety standards
Good communication skills
Confident with the use of computers – we use Trimbles “asset” Despatch system so experience with this system would be a bonus.

This is a full-time position based in our Richmond Depot. Hours of work will be approx. 6am to 5.30pm
