We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tree Nursery and Forest Garden Manager to join our team at the Koanga Institute.As the Tree Nursery and Forest Garden Manager, you will play a vital role in the preservation and development of our heritage trees and the maintenance of our regenerative Forest Garden. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of our organisation and promote sustainable regenerative practices in the field of horticulture.We require someone:Familiar with biological and regenerative farm practicesStrong knowledge and experience in nursery management, including propagation, inventory control and budgetingStrong horticultural knowledge, including tree and plant care, pruning and soil managementExperience in managing and maintaining a forest gardenFamiliar with seed collection and storage proceduresPhysical fitness and stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditionsSelf-motivated with a proactive approach to work, with strong teamwork and collaboration skillsExcellent written/verbal communication and organisational/planning skillsProficiency in teaching and training methods for workshops and mentoringFlexible and adaptability in a dynamic work environmentWe can offer as well as remuneration, a basic off grid cabin on-site if required and staff benefits of organic milk, meat and also provide a hot lunch during the weekdays.If you have a passion for regeneration agriculture and have the relevant skills to manage our tree nursery and forest garden, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a Garden Manager?Do you have a current New Zealand driver's licence?Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
