Hastings District Council manages a 1640 kilometre roading network, with 535 kilometres of footpaths and 260 bridges. We are currently looking for a Transportation Asset Manager to effectively manage and provide stewardship of our network assets and services.
As Transportation Asset Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and optimisation of our transportation assets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement asset management strategies, ensuring the longevity and reliability of our infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and executing asset management plans for transportation assets, including roads, bridges, and other infrastructure. Monitoring asset performance, assess risks, and recommend improvements. Collaborating with engineering, finance, and operations teams to align asset management plans and programmes. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Analysing data and use predictive modelling to optimise asset lifecycle. Implementing cost-effective strategies for asset maintenance and replacement. Ou wheako –about you,
To be successful in this role you will have:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Asset Management, or a related field. Proven experience in transportation asset management. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in asset management planning and forward works programming. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices.
