Y ou will be responsible for improving and retaining transport operations performance across the New Zealand network, in accordance with the business strategy. C over ing the inbound flow from cartage to DC, manufacturing sites to DC, and then all outbound movements from DCs , your role will be to minimise spend whist maximising the flow of delivery to end customer .
This role is based at our Penrose site. We work a blend of working from home and in the office . 
About the role: Ensure transport network and carriers are operating according to budget
Act as a conduit between warehouse operations, commercial team, 3PL suppliers and customer service teams
In collaboration with other Managers, you will develop and align operational plans for material flows, both Inbound and Outbound
Develop, maintain and improve standard operating procedures for all transport processes across the network
We are looking for someone who has previous shipping or freight forwarding experience, and the capability to ensure our good s reach their destination.

You will bring to the role: Minimum 3 years Transport/Logistics experience , within an FMCG environment would be highly desirable, 
Strong stakeholder management skills, including maintaining supplier and vendor relationships
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficient with other Microsoft Office applications . Experience with SAP would be highly advantageous
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work well under pressure within a fast - paced environment
Highly organised and detail orientated
