The Opportunity
Reporting to the Transport Divisional Manager, you will plan, organize and direct a wide range of training activities for 70+ driving staff within the Transport Division. You will conduct and supervise training and develop and maintain programs for employees to improve & achieve safety standards, improve employee’s skills, and build strong team morale as per the Division’s strategic plan.
You will be Responsible Accountable for?
Develop people to be the best they can be
Continually improve, learn & lead change
Apply teaching and learning strategies that promote effective learning consistent with
Implement and develop programmes that support driver learning and achievement
Produce monthly report for Transport Divisional Manager, that identifies achievement against the Divisions strategic & Operational Training goals
Ensure the Divisions training programme is “best in class” and meets the needs of the business
What we need from you?
Great Attitude
You need to be able to remain calm under pressure and be passionate about teaching people.
Able to inspire confidence in drivers with limited experience
Class 5 Licence and hold a Driver Licence Instructor (I) Endorsement Class 1 to 5 and a Workplace Assessor qualification
Relevant qualifications pertaining to construction industry, to enable assessment on behalf of a registered ITO provider Eg: Connexis, Mito
Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation.
Experience using a variety of training and assessment delivery methods to individuals and groups in an industrial setting.
Experience interpreting and utilising competency standards and other resources to develop course delivery plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
Ability to prioritise work to meet defined targets and deadlines.
Ability to deliver training effectively, engage attention and monitor the performance of learners.
Proven computer literacy with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint
