Trainee Team Leader - Vegetables

We have a vacancy for a Trainee Team Leader at our processing plant near Renwick, working in our Vege Packout department with 8-12 hour shifts. The position includes staff supervision, quality control, electronic stock management using Excel and Word computer processing and machine operation.
This is a challenging role where you will need to be organised, show enthusiasm and be able to demonstrate safe work practices.
Some weekend work may be required due to seasonal demands.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Experience in staff supervision.
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
The ability to maintain operational performance to a high level.
To be able to complete daily reports.
The ability to learn about the processing and packing machines and our various product specifications.
Experience in food safety and health and safety processes.
The ability to perform under pressure, and a good appreciation of urgency and accuracy.
Some mechanical ability will be advantageous.
Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
