Theatre Coordinator Full time & Permanent  An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Theatre Clinical Nurse Co-ordinator at Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand Lakes. This key position will be responsible for assisting the Clinical Nurse Manager in the day to day co-ordination and delivery of a safe, high quality, efficient and effective peri-operative service.
Core responsibilities include working with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure staff, patients, and resources come together seamlessly to move patients through the (acute/elective) surgical process. An ability to problem solve and provide strong leadership and direction for staff are essential attributes required for the position.If you are focussed on service delivery and improvement and enjoy working in a large dynamic team we would welcome your application.
Mo te turanga / About the role Primary responsibility is to coordinate and facilitate the smooth running of the perioperative area To oversee theatre usage and efficiency To create and maintain a cohesive working environment through leadership and teamwork FTE 1.0 Full- time Hours of work: Monday to Friday dayshift You should be:
Conscientious and highly motivated Confident and clear communicator to effectively coordinate services between the MDT Ability to continuously improve services to enhance quality delivery of services Must have current NZ annual practising certificate You would need: Essential to have at least 3 years' experience in an Operating Theatre with proven leadership skills such as delegation, providing direction, ability to manage complex situations Te Whatu Ora Lakes provides healthcare from its two modern and progressive general hospitals in Rotorua and Taupo, New Zealand.
