We are on the search for our client's next Territory Sales Manager - South Island based!Our client sells top-of-the-range machinery to abattoirs and we are looking for a candidate with either specific experience or previous territory sales experience within machinery or FMCG space who is keen to jump into their thriving business.An interest in all things meat may help but also an interest in machinery and some proven experience of years crafting your sales skills. Based in either Christchurch or Dunedin, this role will require regular and consistent travel throughout the South Island - yes it comes with a car in the package!This role is in place to support the Product & Technical Manager in executing the in-market plans that deliver the commercial results required to achieve our client's commercial goals.There is ample scope to develop your team of people along the way.Key candidate duties & responsibilities:Driving the implementation of channel strategy.Lead the field reps regionally to be successful against sales KPI's.Manage customer performance, volume, revenue, margin and mix.Grow customer base through new account acquisition.Being actively engaged with key customers by making/having regular contact with key decision-makers across the business.Providing regular reviews on business performance and opportunities.Planning commercially smart promotional activity to grow sales.Being aware of contracted terms within each account.Recruitment, induction, and performance management of the team.Key candidate requirements:NZ Resident or NZ Citizenship visa is required.Clean and current driver's licence.Proven experience in sales, negotiation and influencing.Proven commercial acumen in an affiliated sectorGreat time management, punctuality and a commitment to hours throughout the weekA commitment to Health and Safety at work when undertaking work or observing others in the workplace.APPLY NOW!Our client is offering a competitive remuneration package for this role, it comes with a great induction and handover – it won't last long!If you're based in either Christchurch or Dunedin, we would love to hear from you.
