Duties:Maintain accurate records of job work hours and provide other administrative functions.Installing and download appropriate software and adapting existing programs and providing IT support for the end users.Monitor data network, perform troubleshoot on same and repair and replace fibre, CAT5 and CAT6 cable.Connects fibre optic cables to networking outlets and between network outlets.Maintaining and repairing, replacing and adjusting faulty items, cables and testing equipment using electronic instrumentsInstalling telecommunication equipment and appliances such as telephonesResponsible for designing cable network for Local Area Network and perform implementation of network infrastructure.Responsible to setup the Local Area Network for customers, including configurations on Windows Servers, Windows Personal Computers or mobile phones.Installation of CCTV, Security and Access Control system.Testing using Fluke tester.Installation of Local area Network (LAN)Setup of Network switches and VLAN for networkInstallation and setup of wireless networksMaintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages, testing network backupprocedure updating documentation for that.The supply and installation of racks, computer hardware, switches and routers.Maintains inventory of cables and stock equipment including reordering stock equipmentand partsDetermining software and hardware requirements to provide solutions for problemTest and document system behaviour, performance and securityOther duties as requiredJob requirements:Relevant diploma qualification in IT or TelecommunicationsMinimum 1 yearrelevant experience required.Good customer service skills required.Networking experienceCCTV experienceIT troubleshooting experienceExperience intelecommunications cabling (data/fibre) and security projects.Experience in installing, troubleshooting and testing twisted pair cables, fibre optics cable and voice cable.Must be willing to travel and work a flexible work schedule which could include Saturdays and Sundays.An energetic personality and enthusiastic approach to work.The ability to work independently and use your initiative.A clean full driver's license and able to drive manual – you will be driving around to different sites around Auckland.The ability to lead and manage yourself and team members when requiredLocation AucklandPositions available 1Employment is permanent and is for a minimum of 32hrs a week between 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday to FridayApplicants must be able to work weekends and public holidaysPay rate $30 to $37 per hour depending on experienceDeadline for applications is 30/4/2024If you are interested in applying for this role, please send a cover letter and a detailed CV.
