We are seeking a skilled Breeding Technician to join our team in Takapau, Central Hawke's Bay. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our artificial insemination and sow breeding program, ensuring the successful reproduction of our girls. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Performing artificial insemination procedures on sow herd with utmost care and precision. - Maintaining meticulous records and data related to breeding activities - Working closely with our veterinarian and farm staff to coordinate breeding schedules and monitor animal health. - Performing other duties to support the smooth running of our operation To excel in this position, you must possess the following qualifications and attributes: - Previous experience in artificial insemination or animal breeding techniques is preferred but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided. - A genuine interest in working with animals and a commitment to their well-being. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. - A friendly and approachable manner when interacting with colleagues and farm support staff. - Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures. - Physical fitness and the ability to work in a farm environment, including handling large animals. - Attention to detail and a conscientious approach to work.
