Anton Paar develops and produces state-of-the-art laboratory and process instrumentation for research and industry.
The role: Technical Sales Specialist directly selling scientific instruments to clients in academia and industry for material characterisation by means of rheology, particle sizing, zeta potential, surface area and surface characterisation, Raman and FTIR spectroscopy.
Responsibilities: Direct sales of Anton Paar laboratory instrumentation and technical support to customers across the North and South Island Effective management of existing customer accounts and the generation of new revenue through prospecting Lead/funnel follow-up and effective territory management in a broad base of industries and applications Visit customer sites on a regular basis to give sales presentations, perform instrument demonstrations and installation of new products as well as training customers on the correct use of the equipment Additional administrative responsibilities include preparation of quotes, CRM management and territory reporting on a regular basis Overnight travelling is required (~ 30% expected) Occasional overseas travelling for product training Overall responsibility for solidifying the value proposition of Anton Paar to the customer Requirements: Education in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or Chemistry A PhD or Masters is highly sought after Strong written and oral communication skills in English and must be capable of communicating equally well across company lines Strong computer literacy skills and presentation skills Several years of experience in technical sales of analytical instruments preferred, but not essential Good practical skills in measurement equipment Strong analytical, problem-solving, and math skills Willingness to travel within the country and occasionally overseas Valid working rights (visa) for New Zealand Valid driver license and own well-maintained vehicle required We offer you: Anton Paar offers you a unique and rewarding position within an innovative and growing company Inclusive company culture and a supportive team across New Zealand and Australia We offer a competitive package including car allowance and fuel subsidy Extensive product training locally and overseas Note: we will only accept applications from persons who have a valid visa and full working rights for New Zealand Find more interesting job openingsat Anton Paar here >>
