This position is responsible for providing technical assistance to Brandt Service Departments to solve customer machine issues. The ideal candidate will be a Heavy-Duty Technician by trade and have experience with machine troubleshooting. They will have a high level of computer skills and good communication. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking a proactive approach to repairs and lifecycle planning by utilizing the latest technologies and available equipment data to provide recommendations that allow our technicians to repair machines faster and more efficiently. This position is a key liaison with Brandt technicians and engineers at John Deere.
Duties & Responsibilities: Manage technical assistance requests from Brandt Service Departments using Case Contact Management System (CCMS) software.Develop Brandt Technical Assistance Center (BTAC) Technical Solutions byIdentifies emerging issues in the field that can generate additional revenue.Develops repair procedures for emerging issues, product improvements and warranty work to increase technician efficiencies and increase revenue. Identifies Relife and sales opportunities.Creates and maintains the Technical Solution database.Utilize John Deere Service Advisor RemoteMonitor alerts received from machines through various software platforms.Works closely with Machine Monitoring, Brandt Service times and Proactive Maintenance teams to address equipment abnormalities, quote more efficiently and drive revenue opportunities.Effectively communicate the appropriate actions to the Service Departments via telephone, e-mail or ticketing systemFollow up on previous recommendations to ensure problem resolution and identify learning opportunities.Provide coverage during peak times for Machine Monitoring SpecialistsOther duties may be assigned.Position Requirement: Red seal heavy duty technician certificate or equivalent work experience in the industryMinimum 5 years service experience recommended.Strong background in computer applications and analyticsKnowledge of Agriculture equipment & dealership service departmentsAbility to filter and correlate the different data source to create an accurate recommendation.Knowledge of machine application, design, functionality and understanding the environmental effect on the equipment performanceUnderstand effective inspection process and equipment lifecycle planning.Travel may be required.What we offer: • Attractive remuneration package
