Work with our team and vendors to transition the finance systems to Oracle ERP.
Get involved in all technical areas to ensure the project is ready and able to go-live to meet hard deadlines.
Use your experience working in implementation and release management to present plans and evidence that give management confidence in the projects readiness for go-live.
The Department of Internal Affairs in on a digital transformation journey implementing Punaha Whakahaere Tahua, Te Tari Taiwhenua’s new Financial Management Information System based on the NZ All-of-Government process model.
The new Financial Management Information System falls under the Te Hapai O programme, which has a series of inflight projects designed to secure better tools - so we can provide joined up, transparent, fit-for-purpose services enabling us to manage our money and our people, deliver on our central responsibilities, like Health and Safety, and respond to changing needs.
This role is a crucial part of ensuring we deliver the 3 releases by September 2021.
We need someone to:
Complete the detailed planning for implementation.
Coordinate delivery across the technical stream including the Software Implementation partner, Oracle, internal IT teams, and Datacom to ensure requirements are met leading up to and including go-live.
Liaise with Change and Business Readiness workstream to ensure coordinated activity.
Drive the completion of technical documentation that supports handover to the right areas at the end of the project.
Oversee dependencies and relationships with other IT projects and raise risks and issues related to delivery.

To apply for this role, you will have specific experience to reflect the requirements of the role, including at least 5 years working in IT environments with multiple parties and stakeholders.
