Team Manager Maaori Mental Health & Integrated Care South Services at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Counties Manukau, Auckland An exciting role where you will make a difference in our communities This Tainui Tongikura urges us to develop connections and to work collaboratively towards a common vision. We are looking for a visionary and forward - thinking Team Manager to work with us to improve equity for Maaori and all cultures across Counties Manukau Integrated Mental Health and Addiction Services.
The role is twofold. Firstly, you will be responsible for leading the adult integrated mental health team that services Papakura and Manurewa in vibrant South Auckland. This team, consisting of staff from a multidisciplinary background, and will have a strong focus on Maaori perspectives and will collaborate closely with our Southern Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) to enhance whaanau oranga.
The Awhinatia site in Papakura is shared with Community Health and Public Health clinicians and you will work alongside their managers to create a holistic approach for taangata whaiora and their whaanau that enhances their wairua, hinengaro, whaanau and te tinana ora. This is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday.
You will also work with the leadership team to further develop and manage an exciting Kaupapa Maaori team which services taangata whaiora across the Counties Manukau localities. This team comprised of Te Kupenga Maaori Haumanu (Clinical/Cultural Liaison) and Taurawhiri (Cultural Advisors) from adult and CAMHS will ensure that the needs of Maaori taangata whaiora are identified and supported in their journey through services.
