Job Description About the role Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will have the responsibility for the safe and tidy operation of the transfer station, recycling area and assisting the public with general enquires, while maintaining a professional image of the company and delivering a high-quality customer service. Key responsibilities include Operating and leading by example Working with Operators to ensure that all tasks are completed correctly. Modelling our Safety-First Culture and our HSEQ continuous improvement programs Qualifications To be successful in this role: Previous operator experience A Forklift (OSH) licence is desirable Appropriate endorsements for each machine which is required to be operated on site. (W,T,F are the minimum endorsements required) Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team A good level of fitness is required to carry out the duties of the role Flexibility – One weekend shift is required per week. About you Critical to your success, you need to have a valid NZ licence with industry knowledge. With high-quality standards and strong time management skills, you will be a safety and a productivity-focused individual who is able to lead, influence and engage others to foster a positive continuous improvement culture. Working with a variety of people both internally and externally, you will have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills to build solid, long-term relationships. Whilst the role is not dedicated to an office environment it does have an administration requirement. Confidence in using a computer with experience in using MS office especially Word and Excel are essential for this role. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your adaptability and leadership skills will be well utilised, then this is the role for you.
