We have an exciting opportunity to lead the District Consents team to contribute to the sustainable management of natural and physical resources. The Team Leader District Consents will have a primary responsibility for all matters in relation to District Consent functions across the spectrum of landuse and subdivision consents.
As we are a multidisciplinary team within a Unitary Authority there will also be opportunities to work across some of our regional consenting functions.
To be successful in this role you will need:
a degree level qualification in planning, resource management, science or equivalent
a minimum of five years working within the RMA, and within Consents
regional and/or territorial consent processing experience
experience in Planning Officer role at notified hearings and Environmental Court
You must have a basic knowledge of working with tangata whenua as a prerequisite for this role or at least a willingness to learn.
