The National Library collects, stores, preserves and gives access to taonga that are precious to New Zealand.This role leads the team which has responsibility for building the National Library's published collections through Legal Deposit.We are looking for someone who:Has demonstrated success in leading a high performing team, including managing technical specialistsEnjoys motivating people and fosters an environment of curiosity and innovationHas experience with collecting and archiving born-digital material and is keenly interested in the opportunities and challenges for Legal Deposit in the 21 st centuryHas demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues across the Library and wider GLAM sectorHas at least five years' post-qualification experience, including substantial experience with collection development and management practicesQualifications:A degree and postgraduate library qualification; ORA degree and professional registration with a relevant bodyWe believe in a workplace culture that's supportive, collaborative, and innovative.
