This role involves working on our Level 2 NZ Certificate in Foundation Skills at Windermere Campus. As a Tutorial Assistant you will be required to work in the classroom to support the programme Academic Staff Members and akonga with programme requirements, update resources and classroom materials; assist with the recruitment and care of students; and actively participate in the team and class environment.The key responsibilities for this position include: Actively support Academic and other staff to ensure effective and efficient service delivery to Toi Ohomai students and other stakeholders Assist and support Academic Staff Members in the innovative delivery of technical subject matter and as required, numeracy, literacy, core generic subjects and electives Respond in a helpful manner to requests for information from students Ensure safety at all times and contribute to the promotion of sound occupational health and safety work practices About you / He korero mou As the ideal applicant you will have proven capability and experience in the following: Experience in services or support work Excellent people skills including training and facilitating skills Ability to understand the daily requirements of academic staff so as to best be able to support them in their lesson preparation and delivery.
