It is being delivered through an organisation-wide work programme to implement key elements of our strategy.The Te Korowai team is part of our Office of the Chief Executive, People and Culture Group. Its purpose is to:Take an organisation-wide view of the work required to successfully deliver Te Korowai o Kaitiakitanga, and provide direction and clarity on this to others in Maritime NZ.Lead the delivery of all Te Korowai projects and sub-programmes, ensuring projects outcomes are achieved within time, quality and budget expectationsSet, maintain and promote best project management, change management, and business process management practices and standards across Maritime NZSet and maintain excellent programme and project planning, monitoring and reporting practices, to inform organisation priorities for the successful implementation of Te Korowai o KaitiakitangaTe tunga | The roleReporting to the Te Korowai Programme Manager, the Senior Project Manager will provide high quality project management services and expertise to support the efficient and effective implementation of our organisational strategy.Extensive experience in management of complex and inter-connected projects, including in the public serviceExtensive experience in project management roles, ideally with PRINCE2 and MSP accreditation, and demonstrated use of recognised project and programme methodology and toolsExperience delivering change across a broad range of people, process and systems projectsStrong stakeholder management experience and influencing skills, including working at executive levelAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities, analyse complex problems and suggest appropriate solutionsStrong communication, risk management and problem solving skillsFlexible can-do attitude with proven ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlinesPolitical acumen and an understanding of the public sector, with ability to network and influence at a range of levelsAbility to work in a culturally safe and respectful manner, always being mindful of the cultural diversity of the industry and having regard to Te Ao Maori and Treaty of Waitangi principlesMaritime NZ recognises and respects te Tiriti o Waitangi and we are committed to working with Maori to build strong, meaningful and enduring relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.We aim to be a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported with a sense of belonging.
