The Role

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a critical role in our recruitment efforts, collaborating closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies. You will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and selecting candidates, managing the entire recruitment process from initial contact to onboarding and identifying improvement opportunities withing the recruitment process/experience. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of candidates and make a meaningful impact on our organization's success.

You will

• Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and develop recruitment plans.
• Source and attract qualified candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, LinkedIn, and referrals.
• Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess candidate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and stakeholders.
• Manage candidate relationships throughout the recruitment process, providing timely communication and feedback.
• Conduct reference checks and background screenings as needed.
• Partner with HR and hiring managers to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
• Support our GM People & Capability in the implementation of a new HRIS software platform (ELMO).
• Provide reporting on recruitment costs and forecasted spend, including weekly and monthly reports to the GM People & Capability and wider business on current vacancies

About you.

• 3-5 years recruitment experience gained internally or in an agency environment.
• Solid understanding of recruitment best practices, including sourcing strategies, candidate assessment techniques, and employment laws.
• Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
• Knowledge of the New Zealand employment market and labour regulations is preferred.
• Exposure to performance management and setting KPI's.
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field. (preferred)
