As we transition from a historically rural network to a dynamic mix of rural, urban, and industrial landscapes, we're looking for an experienced systems accountant individual to join our team.The roleThe primary focus of the role, reporting to the Financial Controller, is to manage and enhance our financial systems and reporting requirements.You'll oversee the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of financial software and related applications, ensuring seamless integration, data accuracy, and efficient financial process and reporting.Key responsibilities:Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems, including accounting software and related applications.Collaborate with IT and the Finance team to ensure the integrity and security of financial systems and data, resolving system-related issues.Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing financial systems and processes.Ensure seamless integration of financial systems with other operational systems.Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain data accuracy and consistency.Develop financial reports for management and regulatory purposes.Contribute to the development of financial models and forecasts.Ensure compliance of financial systems with industry regulations and standards.Collaborate with IT security to implement and maintain robust security measures for financial systems.Provide support, training, and troubleshooting assistance to users of financial systems.About youYou'll have a keen eye for detail, problem solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a proactive and self-motivated approach to your work.The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a system accounting role.
