Spend this summer helping transform the construction industry, doing embedded system development with an industry-leading organisation!
What You Will Do As a System Engineering Intern with CTCT, you will have the chance to work on groundbreaking new CAN bus hardware with enhanced diagnostics capabilities. You will be responsible for designing Linux-based embedded software to test and demonstrate advanced diagnostics capabilities of prototype hardware. You will design tests to identify a wide variety of electrical fault conditions that may arise on an earthmoving machine CAN bus. 
Your team is a forward-thinking group, working collaboratively to transform the world through the application of cutting-edge technology. This position is for working over the summer period, starting in November 2024. You will get many opportunities to apply your curiosity, organisation, and problem-solving skills to this role.
What you'll bring? Being a natural team player, with a positive attitude and strong work prioritisation skills, along with a collaborative communication and working style, you will also possess these skills:
Currently studying in some (or all) of the fields of Computer Studies, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics
A passion for diagnosing and debugging, along with curiosity and willingness to learn (you will work closely with your supervisor who will provide you with instructions and support to help you grow and develop your skills)
Be comfortable using technical equipment such as oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, etc.
Familiarity with C/C++ software development for embedded real-time applications
Basic knowledge of common industrial and/or vehicle networking concepts and protocols

The products are used in a range of applications where the operator of the machine benefits from having accurate horizontal and vertical guidance.
