Short term, part time work available!
Are you looking for meaningful, part time, work in a fun team, and that pays well? We are looking for enthusiastic, capable people to join our behaviour change team for several up-coming projects.
Ecological Associates are a small company specialising in sustainable behaviour-change. Working with both Auckland Transport and Auckland Council, we provide households with advice about commuting options and home energy efficiency and helping people reduce their travel and/ or energy cost and carbon footprint.The available positions are part time (evenings and Saturdays), short term and the hourly rate is $25. The hours are weekdays 4:30 -7:30pm, and some Saturdays from 11am - 2pm. Sessions are weather dependent. The work may include (but is not limited to):
Door-knocking: Face-to-face contact with householders to encourage them to provide details relating to either their travel behaviour or energy use. You need to be able to accurately record data from the household contact either on hard copy or electronic format and have the ability to discuss the relevant topics and options. Data analysis and personalised behaviour change plans: selected team members will analyse collected data to develop travel, energy or other behaviour change plans as required by the particular project. Telephone calls: Selected team members will undertake follow-up telephone calls with householders to encourage commitments to change behaviour, accurately record changes
Full training for each task is provided. No prior experience is needed. We need people who are: friendly and outgoing able to communicate clearly (must have great English, knowledge of Mandarin or other languages also beneficial) able to understand and convey information related to public transport, cycling and general energy efficiency.
You must be available to attend our two (unpaid) screening and training sessions. These have been scheduled for Friday 22nd of March (afternoon) and Wednesday the 27th of March (evening). Door-knocking will commence from the beginning of April and will continue though early June.If this sounds like you - apply now!
