Te whiwhinga mahi| The Opportunity The Sustainability team within the Office of the Chief Executive brings to life our strategy and approach to sustainability, and unites contributions from across the organisation. Our aim is to integrate sustainability principles and practices across Te Whatu Ora, with the team monitoring and reporting on the organisation's overall sustainability performance.
The Sustainability Advisor role provides technical advice to managers on sustainability priorities across subject areas such as waste, infrastructure, transport, climate risk, biodiversity and Te Ao Maori approaches. It coordinates the best practice delivery of sustainability work programmes across the local area.
This is a permanent full time role based in the Wellington region. Travel across the region is an important part of the role so a full driver's licence is required.
You are passionate about sustainability and have post-qualification experience in supporting and delivering sustainability within your organisation. Relationship building with senior stakeholders is a vital aspect to this role. Your knowledge, energy and enthusiasm will be key and will translate well to an ability to build rapport and trust at all levels, both within and outside the organisation.
