There are strong development opportunities.Working in a diverse and supportive team of sustainability advisors, that are responsible for the Sustainability strategy, at a national level - you will be ensuring Pamu is cognisant of, and acting on, current and emerging planning and consenting requirements.Regionally - you will also be supporting the Upper South Island Operational Leadership, enabling sustainable outcomes, and supporting specific sustainability opportunities in the region.You will work across dairy, livestock and forestry operations, to link and deliver sustainable outcomes.This role involves travel, and you can work flexibly from home (Canterbury, Upper West Coast) or based in one of our offices on the Upper West Coast or Wellington.Key responsibilities include:· Analysing current and emerging regulatory requirements for impacts on Pamu operations and plans· Providing advice on compliance and regulatory needs for key operational projects· Leveraging Pamu staff expertise across agronomy, forestry, biodiversity, freshwater management, climate, technology etc to create sustainable outcomes on farms· Forming strong relationships and providing strategic advice to Operational Teams· Supporting integrated projects that deliver climate change and environmental benefits· Contributing to the development of insights that support the wider organisation, to manage sustainability risks and opportunitiesAbout YouYou will be adaptable and approachable and enjoy working collaboratively. You will be goal focussed and take pride in high level of technical and professional competence.You will have:· District/regional planning or consenting experience· Knowledge of the resource management framework in an agricultural context· Qualified in Environmental Science/Management, or Ecology, or other relevant field or equivalent experience· Understanding and application of te ao Maori and Matauranga Maori principles· Proven ability to drive change at scale and an interest in achieving sustainability outcomes in agriculture· Experience building effective working relationships, and the ability to operate as a trusted advisor· Ability and willingness to travel regularlyAbout UsPamu is the brand name for Landcorp Farming Limited.
