Support Worker – Te Mata, Hastings $24.36 to $29.10 per hour, (depending on experience). This is a part-time role working 30 hours per fortnight. Use your experience and knowledge as a Support Worker to enable the people you will be supporting to live in their own home and connect with their community. You will be working with a variety of people living independently in the community. About the role We are looking for a team player who will be working in a self-management team. Strengthen and develop the individual's networks in the community. Engage with the individual to check that the support being offered is meeting expectations and enhancing their life. Support the individual with personal hygiene and well-being. Promote an environment that encourages the individual to feel safe and comfortable. Encourage the individual to grow and increase their independence by supporting them to learn skills for daily living and to make decisions and choices. Generate daily support notes, incident reports, and daily handover notes to your co-workers. Collaborate with other support staff by attending staff meetings, coaching, keeping each other informed about the individual being supported, and sharing ideas with your team members.
