Due to an internal promotion we are looking for a Support Officer to join our International team. The role provides support for International electoral assistance programmes in accordance with agreements between the Commission and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Key Responsibilities: Coordination of the deployment of personnel internationallyProviding support services to Commission Technical AdvisorsManage programmes for international participants attending knowledge exchange events hosted in New Zealand or other countriesProcuring supplies for other electoral agencies and arranging for their delivery off-shoreFinancial tracking and budgeting of expenditure for the programmesWhat you'll need to succeed | Ko nga mea ka hiahiatia e koe kia angitu Strong administration and project support experience supporting a fast-paced teamBe an organised planner, who loves variety in a roleBe competent in the use of MS packages, particularly MS ExcelHave experience with financial recordsHave high attention to detailBe a confident verbal and written communicatorA high level of professionalism and cultural awarenessA high level of flexibility and the ability to promptly respond to work demandsAbout the Electoral Commission | Te Kaitiaki Take Kowhiri The Electoral Commission is an independent Crown Entity who works with and through communities to inform, engage and educate New Zealanders about the value of participation, make it easy for them to enrol and vote, promote understanding of New Zealand's democratic processes, and deliver parliamentary elections and referenda.
In association with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade under the New Zealand Aid Programme, the International Team provides technical assistance to electoral agencies in the Pacific and beyond to support those agencies to enhance their electoral administration capability.
