Now based in a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility in Lower Hutt, this business has a solid base and the backing to continue its current growth path.About the RoleReporting directly to the Operations Manager this is a broad-based, hands-on autonomous role where you will support the management team. The primary responsibilities include:Stock management of final product held at regional distribution centres. This includes involvement in stocktaking, managing stock rotation, generation of stock reports and reconciliation of variations.
Managing the customer order process.
Product export: coordination of shipping activities, preparation of required documentation (eg OMAR) and managing relationships with courier and freight forwarding service providers.
Purchasing: supply planning based on sales forecasts. Assisting with process improvement, and the identification and qualification of new sources and vendors.
Skills and ExperienceMinimum of 3 years' experience in a supply chain, logistics or procurement function.
Ideally your experience will be backed by formal qualifications in Supply Chain / Logistics or Science.
Preferably your experience will include working within the pharmaceutical, dairy, food (or similar sectors) where you will have gained an understanding of GMP and ISO requirements.
Strong MS-Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems are essential.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
The ability to work autonomously, take responsibility and think critically while juggling multiple tasks.
High attention to detail, combined with initiative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
You are self-motivated, adaptable, flexible and customer centric. While task-focused, your prime objective is to ensure customer satisfaction.
