Overall, the Supplier Quality Assurance Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding consumer trust and confidence in the safety and quality of Griffin's Products. Through effective leadership, implementing robust quality assurance processes, fostering strong supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement, they contribute to the organization's success in delivering safe, high-quality food products to the market.What you'll be responsible for :Develop and implement approved supplier quality assurance programs, strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards, customers, and regulatory requirements.Standardise the Quality Assurance program collaborating with global Intersnack.Participate and administer regular audits/ assessments of suppliers to evaluate quality management systems.Develop & maintain approved supplier data base.Working closely with suppliers to implement corrective and preventative actions and resolving quality issues.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Innovation, Site Quality Managers, Central Quality team and manufacturing, to establish quality requirements and specifications.Lead supplier qualification and approval processes.Monitor and analyse supplier performance metrics and identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Develop concise and meaningful quality KPIs for monthly reports.Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in supplier quality management,What you'll bring to the role?7+ years' Quality experience within Food Safety and Quality within the manufacturing environment, – you'll be a seasoned food safety & quality professional!Tertiary qualification with a Food Technology/ Science or Food Engineering related endorsementSound technical understanding of the latest food safety & systems, processes, and regulations.Exposure and experience with Quality standards (GFSSI Certification Scheme or SQF equivalent will be of advantage)Excellent communication and cross-functional relationship building skills, with the ability to influence when required.Proven experience leading food safety external audits with suppliersAbility to take a strategic view and create a vision whilst being able to adopt a hands-on approach where requiredAbility to respond quickly in an ever-changing environment – you can think on your feet and own your decisions!An innovative mindset– you are not afraid to challenge the status quo and throw new ideas into the mixPassion for process and driving action from data insights – you thrive on implementing and improving processes and leading the 'data – insight – action' cycle to drive positive business results.What can you expect in return?
