We run lamb and beef processing plants on the same site, with both plants having enough volume to operate year-round.The family-friendly operation has approximately 420 employees, with people on site working (in various capacities) almost 24 / 7. It is an outcomes focused business with opportunity for progression and skill enhancement for the right person.The Role:Our supervisors are busy people on our plant, with responsibility and accountability for the short-term planning and day-to-day management & supervision of the plant and all the resources allocated to this operation. Our supervisors are the first point of contact for all staff-related issues including payroll, absenteeism and performance.Core competencies are measured around driving results, engagement, customer focus, with a collaborative, resilient and courageous approach.We don't expect you to do this on your own though! You will be supported by our experienced operations leadership team, which will provide opportunities to increase your knowledge of operational performance and delivering commercially acceptable outcomes.A competitive remuneration package will be offered, commensurate with skills and experience. For the right individual, there will be opportunities for career growth, professional development and training.The Person:You will have verifiable experience within the Meat Processing industry, Manufacturing or Process Engineering, with relevant qualifications and/or a minimum of three year's industry experience.Verifiable front-line management experience of people and communication skills (across multiple functions and all levels of an organization).Demonstrated knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, ERP Safety & Quality Management SystemsDemonstrated ability to understand (and when required create/update) documentation in the any of the above-mentioned systems.Demonstrated ability to work on a variety of unconnected projects with a result focus orientation, a logical thinker and good problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to set and follow through with expectations and commitments.Demonstrated ability for forward planning in short, medium- and longer-term cycles.Demonstrated knowledge of lean principlesApplications will close 3pm, Friday 19th April 2024.
