Creative Arts and Industries (CAI) is a diverse Faculty of approximately 2000 students at the University of Auckland. We offer Undergraduate and Postgraduate study in a wide range of creative disciplines including Architecture, Dance Studies, Design, Fine Arts, Music, and Urban Planning.
The Opportunity
We are seeking aStudent Support and Experience Advisorto join our exciting and dynamic Academic Services Team. Reporting to the Student Academic Services and Engagement Manager, the position is a fixed term maternity leave contract. Working side-by-side with our existing Student Support and Experience Advisor, this role focuses on Equity and Support for the Faculty.
It is a diverse and exciting position that covers a range of responsibilities, including:
Coordination of the International Mentor Programme and international student support
Working with our Tuakana Coordinator on Maori and Pacific Island student matters
Managing and leading academic and pastoral care activities with our students
Skills and ExperienceWe are looking for someone who can bring energy, passion, and motivation to this position within the team, and continue our growth in equity and support activities. If you are someone who can: manage a variety of work simultaneously, is highly organised, can work in a team and independently, a self-started, see the big picture but not forget about the detail, proven communication skills understands student needs and equity, and has strong stakeholder management skills then we want to hear from you!
We do hold a few student events that can be outside of normal working hours, and the successful candidate will need to be flexible where required.
