Management - Store (Retail & Consumer Products)Save More is opening in Ashburton soon, and we're after a Store Manager to motivate the team, manage the store and generally be a person that helps us grow our business! If you don't know what we do, we sell clearance groceries and aim to keep our prices much lower than the Supermarkets!As a company we're young, this is our third store, and we've been operating for about six months. Our Management team brings a wealth of experience with them from years in the retail and grocery industry, as well as skills from their past lives. We love what we're doing, and we're after someone that 'fits' with our organisation.The job requirements – what we expect our Managers to do:Manage all incoming stock – receipting, reporting damages, ensuring accurate counts etc.Create rosters that meet the staffing requirements of the business.Minimise stock losses, managing wastage and shrink, and complete cyclical stock counts (stocktakes).Encourage, motivate and manage their teams independently of Support Office.Ensure the store is opened, stocked, and well-presented during business hours.Report (formally, and informally) to the Senior Management team on a regular and ongoing basis .Work with and alongside their teams to build and maintain a positive friendly atmosphere.Manage their team, and be the first point of contact for any issues that may arise .Deal effectively and efficiently with customer feedback.Know when to escalate concerns or issues, or seek advice if unsure.Manage and ensure ongoing compliance with relevant legislation and company policy and procedure.The personal characteristics – what an ideal Manager looks like to us:Bubbly by nature, passionate about whatever they set their mind to.Fit and active.Technologically savvy (please no one finger typists!).Not afraid to push back, but knows when to sit down!What we're offering:As well as an attractive annual salary, we're offering genuine growth potential – if you're ready to take on a bigger store, or perhaps you want to learn how to drive a forklift, that's cool with us.
