Join Argus Fire as a Fire Systems Designer for the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects throughout New Zealand. Argus is a well-known company with over 40 years' experience in the fire protection industry. The company covers all aspects including fire system design, installation, and ongoing testing and maintenance of fire systems. We currently have a vacancy for a Fire Systems Designer in our Auckland office. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of competence in designing all aspects of fire sprinkler and alarm systems. Candidates must demonstrate:Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Health & Safety systems.High-level experience & competency in fire sprinkler systems.Competency in all aspects of contracting.Practical technical knowledge and understanding of Fire Protection systems of all types, have worked in the industry for some time and know the regulations and standards preferably with industry qualifications.Excellent understanding of standard industry practice for the design and installation of fire sprinkler systems.Unquestionable communication skills.Excellent computer literacy.Excellent record-keeping and report compilation skills.High level of personal hygiene. Responsibilities within this role will include:Representing the company with Architects, Engineers, and Consultants.Ensuring compliance with health and safety.Monitoring of jobs to meet agreed completion dates.Provision of technical information, advice, and assistance.Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have the ability to be cool under pressure and able to negotiate between different stakeholders and will have a strong track record in organising resources efficiently and effectively in a cost-effective manner.Success in this role is achieved by demonstrating accomplishments and having a proactive approach for positive outcomes, but most of all to being part of the team.
