We require Spray Painters to join the team. This is a permanent role Full time, with minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week Monday - Friday with weekend jobs available Competitive remuneration $29.66-$35.00 per hour depending on experience About the Role You will be based in Auckland, but may also be required to work in Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Wanganui, Wellington, Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland. This may require the need to travel away from home or relocate. What you will do Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Prepare surfaces of vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary. Mix and match paint colours to achieve desired finishes, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Operate spray painting equipment proficiently to apply paint coats evenly and smoothly. Follow manufacturer's specifications and technical guidelines to achieve desired paint thickness and texture. Monitor environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity to optimize paint application. Inspect finished paintwork for quality and accuracy, making any necessary touch-ups or adjustments. Ensure that paint finishes meet industry standards and customer expectations. Conduct asbestos inspections and assessments as required. Safely handle and dispose of asbestos-containing materials in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Implement asbestos management procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Maintain and clean painting equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and longevity. The successful applicant will Minimum 3 years of relevant and verifiable experience Relevant certification in automotive painting & asbestos management is desired but not compulsory A clean full driver's licence is advantageous Can work unsupervised or part of a team Willing to undergo pre-employment screening Able to complete basic paperwork when needed Essential Knowledge of Health and Safety and the hazards of operating on construction sites Have a positive can-do attitude Able to problem solve and manage time well Calm, professional temperament and good communication skills You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand In return we offer An excellent remuneration package A full-time permanent position Targeted training programs are available Opportunities to advance within the company A company that values the health and safety of its people A great team culture that supports career development If you want to become part of the team, then please send your Cover Letter and CV.
