Join our team as a Specialty Clinical Nurse at Whakatane Hospital. In this role, you'll lead colposcopy and pessary clinics, providing expert care, education, and advice to patients. Your responsibilities will include managing data collection, ensuring culturally sensitive care, coordinating follow-ups, and driving service development initiatives. If you're ready to make a meaningful impact in women's healthcare, apply now for the opportunity to grow professionally in a supportive and dynamic environment.Some of the responsibilities include:Provides evidence-based assessment that meets nursing and specialty practice standards.Delivers planned nursing care that aligns with Whanau ora and Maori Health models supporting equity of health outcomes for Maori.Uses digital tools to document and monitor patient progress.Establishes and promotes effective models of self-care with family/whanau that support independence linking with clinical Teams, MDT, and primary health as required.Provides specialty advice and is a role model for navigation and coordination of effective gynaecology, colposcopy and pessary clinics.Ensures relevant data is collected and reported within expected timeframes.Liaises with community health providers including Iwi Hauora partners to ensure a population health focus of gynaecology services.Coordinates initiatives for management of acute, and complex colposcopy and pessary patient activity.Incorporates Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles into specialty practice.Contributes to monitoring and evaluating patient flow through data or information.Monitoring and reporting will include Maori waiting times and treatment experiences as applicable, to enable the development of a service that reduces barriers to access.Manages ethical dilemmas related to pain management in a supportive, collaborative manner.The ideal candidate will possess significant clinical experience, particularly in the fields of colposcopy and pessary services. You will demonstrate a deep understanding of women's health issues and have a proven track record of providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
